I don't have any other sleep agents like some of these other companies who put in things to enhance sleep. You can take ZMA-particularly ZMA JYM-any time of day. The magnesium in ZMA can enhance sleep quality, but that doesn't make it a sleep supplement. If that's the case, in the morning I'm still fasting til 4 pm. If you want to take it in the morning-oftentimes I'll forget to take it before I go to sleep at night. What I tell people with ZMA is you don't actually have to take it before bed. You want to take it on an empty stomach, so during your fasting window is a perfect time to take ZMA. But you really don't want to eat anything when you're taking your ZMA. With ZMA, the zinc and magnesium-their uptake is interfered with by numerous other nutrients, particularly calcium. That's precisely when you want to take it. Humans need rest, you need to feel when you need rest. We can’t keep on going like we are made of battery packs. Sure I get tired at the end of the day, but that’s normal. I don’t have headaches on days when I accidentally drink less caffeine. I don’t need a bucket of coffee to get me going. But I feel so good from not drinking coffee, I don’t want to get into that trap ever again. The only time I miss it is when I walk passed a place that has really good coffee. It’s been almost a year now and I don’t even miss the act of drinking coffee anymore. I needed a long time to reset my brain to normal. I think this part is also why it took so long for me to feel good again after quitting. Realising that coffee doesn’t give you energy, but just blocks the receptors in your brain registering how absolutely tired you actually are, also helped. (I would happily go to bed before, only because I knew I was getting coffee afterwards. I really wanted to kick this habit that had me tied down. I felt so so so exhausted for about three months, but I pushed through. But I got worried about bad breath, disturbing my gut microbiota with so much black coffee on an empty stomach and stained teeth. I would drink two French presses filled with black coffee before I had lunch. Everyone should do what they want in their lives.
